Nobody knows how many copies of a used house's keys exist: the builder, the last owners, their cleaner, a dog walker, the realtor's lockbox. The usual first call on a new home is a rekey of every exterior lock, front door, back door, the door from the garage and the side gate, all to one new key. It costs less than new hardware because the locks stay and only the pins inside change. If a lock is worn, loose, or a builder-grade knob with no deadbolt behind it, that is the moment to replace it, and we say which ones on the spot rather than selling a full set.

Tract homes and townhouses across Santa Clarita, Valencia, Saugus, Canyon Country and Stevenson Ranch, most of them still on the Kwikset or Schlage hardware the builder fitted; older houses in Newhall and through the San Fernando Valley, where the door has often settled and the lock is not the real problem; and ranch properties toward Acton, Agua Dulce and the Antelope Valley, where the gate matters as much as the front door.

Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. You text a photo of the lock and your ZIP code, we reply with the price and an honest arrival time, and that price is the one on the invoice. If something turns out different once we are there, you hear it and agree to it before any work starts.
Can every door in the house work on one key?
Usually, yes. Most houses here are Kwikset or Schlage throughout, and we rekey them to a single key in one visit. Where one lock uses a different keyway, we swap that cylinder so it matches the rest.
Will you have to drill the lock to get me in?
Rarely. Most house lockouts open without damage. Drilling is the last resort for a high-security or broken lock, and we tell you before we do it, together with the cost of the replacement.
Do you work for landlords too?
Yes: rekeys between tenants, eviction lockouts on the day possession passes, and master key systems so the owner carries one key for every unit while each tenant's key opens only their own door.
Can you look the house over and tell me what to change?
Yes, and it is part of any visit rather than a separate sale. We walk the exterior doors, the garage entry and the side gate, and tell you which locks are fine, which only need rekeying and which are worth replacing, with a price for each so you choose.
