Licensed, and you can check it
Locksmiths in California are licensed by BSIS, the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Our BSIS locksmith license number is LCO8511, and it is on every page of this site. You can check it yourself in about a minute with the BSIS license lookup (BSIS is part of the Department of Consumer Affairs, so the search is on their site); it shows whether the license is current. Our guide to choosing a locksmith explains what else to check before you let anyone near your door.
Every technician who works for us is registered with BSIS, which requires a fingerprint background check through the FBI and the California Department of Justice.
How we work
- Text or call. Your ZIP, what happened, and if you can, a photo of the lock or the car. A photo tells us more than a description.
- You get the price before we drive. The price and an honest arrival time come back in the same thread, and nothing starts until you agree to it.
- We explain before we drill. Damage-free entry wherever the lock allows it. If a lock really has to be drilled, we tell you why first.
- We check it is yours. Before we open a home or a car we ask for ID and something that ties you to the address or the vehicle. A locksmith who does not ask would open anyone's door.
What we do
Homes: lockouts, rekeys, lock changes, smart locks and everything else for the home. Cars: lockouts, lost keys, key programming and fobs, including Teslas. Businesses: commercial locks, master key systems, access control and panic bars.

From our base in Canyon Country we cover the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Fernando Valley and the Antelope Valley 24 hours a day, out to Simi Valley, Calabasas and Santa Paula, and the Westside by appointment. The full list is on our service areas page.
