Panic Bar Installation and Repair

A panic bar is the one piece of hardware on your building that has to work every single time, and an inspector will check it. We fit, repair and adjust exit devices for shops, offices and warehouses across Santa Clarita, on a schedule that does not shut your business for the day.

How it works

It has to work every time, not most times

Exit hardware is life-safety equipment. A bar that binds, a closer that slams, a door that does not latch behind it: each one is both a hazard and something an inspector will write up. We check the door, the frame and the alignment, not just the bar, because a device fitted to a door that has dropped will fail again in a month.

Questions

Panic bar questions

Do I legally need a panic bar?

It depends on the building, its use and its occupancy. Many commercial and assembly spaces do. We can look at the door and tell you what the hardware needs to be.

Can you repair a bar rather than replace it?

Often yes. A lot of failures are alignment or a worn latch rather than a dead device, and adjusting is far cheaper than replacing.

Can you fit them outside opening hours?

Yes. We schedule evenings and weekends for commercial work so the doors are not out of action while you are trading.
