Fewer levels, fewer keys, a system that stays secure
Every master key adds another way for a cylinder to open, so a system is only as strong as it is simple. We start from who needs to get where, keep the levels to the ones you will actually use, and write it down as a key chart: which key opens which door. That chart is what keeps the system maintainable. When a tenant moves out we repin that one unit to a new key and your master keeps working. Mixed hardware is the usual obstacle, since locks of different brands on different keyways cannot share one master, so we tell you from the photos which cylinders have to change before we quote. If copies worry you, the system can run on a restricted keyway, where a key cannot be cut without your authorisation. A DO NOT DUPLICATE stamp, on its own, stops nobody.

We do the work at the property; nothing needs to be brought to us.
Master key questions
How is this different from keying everything alike?
Keyed alike means one key opens every door, for everybody. A master key system gives each door its own key and gives you one key above them all, so tenants and staff get into their own space and nowhere else.
Can you use the locks we already have?
Usually, if they share a brand and a keyway. We repin the existing cylinders and replace only the ones that cannot join the system. Send photos of the locks and the key faces and we will tell you which is which before quoting.
What happens if the master key is lost?
Then every door is exposed, which is why the master stays with as few people as possible. The fix is repinning the system to a new master, and because we keep the key chart that is a planned job rather than starting from scratch.
What does it cost?
It is priced per cylinder plus the keys, so a fourplex is a short visit and a forty-door building a longer one. We give the exact figure once we have seen photos of the doors.
